not an easy one

Spanish Open Barcelona May 11-15, 2015

Sunshine all the way in Barcelona this week … 35 degrees, I don’t know why I put up with it?

All the SAs were playing in Spain so we had a terrific little study on the Wednesday morning at 10am in the players lounge, not 7am as in Sth Africa, European time now (my suggestion) … on “who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?”

Hennie Otto played last week in Mauritius, his first outing after his latest back surgery and he had lots to say; they hold a “Mighty Men” conference in SA each year with around 50,000 attending, so he’d much to tell about that, Jake Roos and JBe were there too … A good time …

You’ll recall the incident with caddie when he lost his job due to the jumping on the buggy infringement, well he was back … He and his wife were basing themselves in Derby for the summer but an opening came up for a few months based in Barcelona, Derby or Barcelona, tricky choice?  He is still looking elsewhere and waiting on God for clear direction but as he says, “I need to earn a living and the only current avenue open is caddying,” so he was offered a bag for the week and he was also keen to show his face again on the Tour … We got together separately from the study, as caddies don’t get to pick and choose their times like the players do, so that was good …

I have been bumping into a new player quite a few times on tour this year, who came through the Challenge Tour, his wife who’s from Dublin, was with him this week so do pray and see if that’s leading anywhere … I’m still regularly in touch with a Scottish pro and his caddy also …. Do remember these very friendly & pleasant, but as yet unsaved people in your prayers.

Next week is the PGA’s flagship event, the BMW championship at Wentworth ….

Isaiah 30:21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
