Logos on Tour at the Scottish Open

Scottish Open Gullane GC Edinburgh July 7 – 9, 2015

The week before the Open has become an ideal time for Links course preparation for the Open and lots of big names, including many from the U.S. make an appearance, but no Rory!

This was one of the events where we had a “Roadshow” and with the recent launch of ‘Logos Scotland’ it was good to have Vincent Brown there … Vincent has taken on the role of Logos Ambassador as he uses Logos Golf Ministries as his attachment when playing in Tartan Tour events, which has proved an excellent conversation starter …  Many thanks to you all for your prayers for Wednesday night at St Paul & St George’s church in Edinburgh (known as P & Gs) where one of our Logos supporters, Chris Smith, hosted the evening for myself and Vincent, we had 20 of a turnout it was a blessed evening where folks heard what God was doing in the world of golf …

Logos on Tour at the Scottish Open
At the tournament I had four really interesting and varied discussions with firstly; a coach who had just lost a couple of players and was a little despondent, a player who was thinking in detail about how his season was going, a caddie who was reflecting on the plight of caddies on tour and another caddy who was looking at just where he was in life and what lay ahead … It was good to have these in depth chats, where I was really just a listening ear,  but I shall keep them in prayer and follow them up in due time …

This coming week is the Open (less Rory) and we are having a Logos “Roadshow” evening on Monday the 13th in the St Andrews club where past Open champion from 1981 Bill Rogers, among others, will be taking part, so I’d value your prayer support for that ….

“We are therefore Christ’s AMBASSADORS, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
2 Corinthians 5:20
