KLM Dutch Open Kennemer GC Zandvoort September 8 – 10, 2015

I had a couple of good long chats with our two old friends; “the caddies” this week…. one, continues to see the ‘sun’ as the giver of life and where his belief has its basis and not the ‘Son’ – so worshipping and object instead of a person …

For example >> Malachi 4: 1 – 3
“Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the LORD Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them.  But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.  Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the LORD Almighty.”

He interprets as; the sun deciding who lives and dies, whereas the contextual interpretation is clear in that, here it is symbolic [and the only time it is used as such in the OT] of the division of the righteous and wicked on the Day of Judgement > how easy it is to use scripture to suit yourself … Mind you, he keeps you on your toes …

The courtesy car and shuttle bus was a real winner this week when I was able to have a good chat with two players; one of them in the car from the airport and then another in the shuttle bus, transport is ever a good place due to the ‘captive’ nature of the situation ..

Interestingly a few weeks ago (the first pro mentioned above) was in earshot of our bible study in the players lounge and could hear all clearly…. (The second pro an American) is in his first year over here and looking forward to his wife coming over next week – do add them both to your prayer list….

A few weeks ago I mentioned the situation of a person and the sudden death of his father, this was his first event back since then and it was important to seek him out and spend a little time with him, which I did and he appreciated this…

“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,” 1 Peter 3:15

This week – Italian Open in Milan …
