Logos Golf Ministries Board/Management Changes

ogos Golf Ministries Managent Changes

For some months the Logos Golf Ministries board has been in discussions with our friends at Christians in Sport as to how the gospel can be best presented to the community of professional golfers. I am pleased to be able to tell you that those extensive discussions have reached a conclusion and may be summarised as follows:

  • On June 1 2017, control of Logos Golf Ministries will pass to a new board comprised of three members of the Christians in Sport senior management team, namely, Graham Daniels (General Director), Keith Proctor (Managing Director) and Elizabeth Chambers (Performance Team Manager).
  • Logos Golf Ministries will continue as an entity in itself with a continued usage of the Logos Golf Ministries ‘brand’.

The new Logos board, with access to the extensive range of Christians in Sport resources, will be well positioned to continue to support the valuable work already being undertaken by Ken Revie in his role as chaplain on the main European Tour and Vincent Brown who represents Logos Golf Ministries as a playing ambassador on the Scottish PGA ‘Tartan’ Tour. Christians in Sport will also be well placed to consider new initiatives in the field of golf chaplaincy.

The outgoing board would ask you to continue to support the work of Logos Golf Ministries in a number of ways. Firstly, please pray that the new board might be endowed with wisdom as they look to enhance Christian outreach amongst golfers. Secondly, please prayerfully consider either continuing or initiating financial support for the work. (Please note that if you are currently supporting Logos Golf Ministries financially then you needn’t take any action as your donations will continue to be credited to the Logos Golf Ministries bank account).  Finally, we would ask those of you who know Ken and Vincent personally to continue offering them encouragement and support in the valuable work they undertake for the gospel.

The retiring board members all consider it a privilege to have been of service and join together in giving thanks to our Lord and Saviour for His provision to Logos Golf Ministries since its inception. We also give thanks for the opportunities which have been taken and which will continue to present themselves for ‘the Word of God to be taken to the world of golf’.
